Bridging Your ERC20 Tokens From Ethereum to Opera

Hello again Oasis Seekers, today we have a quick post demonstrating how easy it is to bridge your existing ERC20 assets, like the FTM token, over to Opera. More and more users are making the switch every day, enjoying the same DeFi services they’d interact with on Ethereum with 1/1000th the transaction costs.

Let’s get started.

You will need:

ERC20 Tokens (like FTM) that you want to bridge
Metamask
ETH to pay the transaction fees

STEP 1: Visit multichain.xyz

STEP 2: Connect your MetaMask wallet

STEP 3: Specify your token to transfer by clicking the ETH icon

STEP 4: Select the token you’d like to transfer
Remember, you will need a bit of FTM to pay for transactions on Opera.

STEP 5: Set the amount of tokens to bridge
It’s important to note there is a fee associated with the bridge. Also, the excitement over FTM and Opera have led to liquidity issues, so some wait times as of this writing should be expected.

STEP 6: Click “Transfer” and confirm your transactions in MetaMask

STEP 7: Enjoy.
